(More customer reviews)Unlike other products in the same category, this one is sturdy and the splines will not break.But, they are very flexible and the space between the splines is quite wide.Moreover there is no backstop to prevent the loaf from moving while you're slicing.Bottom line: if you're looking for mechanical assistance to create slices of uniform thickness, this isn't it.A better idea: buy an electric knife & learn to use it.
